PHILIPPIANS 4:13

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

TO PONDER:

What does this mean?  What sort of strength is spoken about here in this verse?

It talks about spiritual strength.   This spiritual strength helps us to be content, it helps us to endure and find peace and stay strong in any circumstance – sickness, persecution, whatever! It helps us to persevere and trust in God and His promises.  It helps us to stay strong in – all things.  How do we receive this spiritual strength, where does it come from?  It’s as simple as being in unity with God.  Reading His word, believing and trusting in His promises.

Many of us probably know what it is like to be in need and maybe somewhere in our journey we know what it is like to have had plenty … well there is a secret formula that we can depend on. The Bible tells us the secret is being content in every situation.  Learn to be content with the present and remember who stands beside you in your darkest moments.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank you for this reminder to be content in all situations.  Thank you for helping my unbelief during the many times when I’ve doubted that things would work out when I have been in need.  Thankyou that you’ve always come through, not only with what was needed, but much more.  I pray Father that others come to know the goodness, kindness and blessings that you pour out to us when we start to truly believe and learn to be content in every circumstance. AMEN
