JOSUA 1:15

No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life.  As I was with Moses, so I will never leave you nor forsake you.

TO PONDER:

Have you ever had someone make a promise to you, or you’ve made one, and waited and waited and it’s never come to fruition.  A promise is not a promise until it is kept.  It’s just a matter of trust, having faith in that person's promise, believing their word. The problem is, we are human. We can make a promise and really intend to keep it, the sad part is humans change their minds and circumstances beyond our control can stop us from delivering on our promises.  Do you remember the hurt and heart ache it may have caused when others have broken promises they have made to you?  We grumble about circumstances in our life and we try to do things in our own strength.  The world tells us to be confident, to act and walk like we’ve got it all in control. 

God’s promise he gave to Joshua when he led the Israelites out of bondage into the promised land, is still relevant today for you and me.  We’ve been rescued out of the bondage of sin.  We’ve been set free and here’s a reality, God’s promises are real.  He is with us through all our trials and challenges.  Help is guaranteed.  He helps us to be bold and to move forward knowing that we don’t face difficulties alone.  He is not only with us, but He is in us.  He always keeps his promise and never changes His mind even if we are lacking in faith or doubt His love.   He won’t leave you or forsake you.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father I know that you walk every step of the way with me and for that I am so thankful. Thank you, Lord, that your promises are always kept.  Help me Lord to never take for granted all that you’ve done in my life and those precious to me.  Help me to listen to that still, small voice and make me aware of where you’re leading. AMEN
