PSALM 145:18

The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

TO PONDER:

Have you been wondering where God is in your life lately? Or does he appear to be silent? 

I’m certain each of us have days when it feels as though God is far away and he can’t seem to hear us! 

So, what is it we need to do to be near God? 

Even if it feels as though God can’t hear us or maybe it’s like he’s not listening, he is with us - that's his promise. Just call on him and talk with him. It can be just like you’re having a conversation with your best friend. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy or pre planned. We can pray to him anytime and anywhere and he will hear us. Call on him and he will come near.

Where in your life do you need to call on his holy name through prayer and listen to him through his Word?

PRAYER:

Thank you, Lord, for the promise that you have given to me, thank you for being close to me when I call upon you. I pray that you will teach me, correct me, guide me, and inspire me so that I might call upon you in truth. Amen.
